Hello lovelies! Today on Dishin’ It Out I wanted to talk about the health benefits of drinking chamomile tea. Keep reading to see the 4 reasons why you should drink this tea!
I’m going to admit it right at the start of this post: when I first tried chamomile tea, I hated it. I thought I was drinking bitter dirt and I wanted to get through the box I had bought as quickly as possible so I could get rid of it. Now, halfway through my box, I’ve gotten used to the taste and I actually take the time to enjoy it.
So what is chamomile tea? It’s a European plant from the daisy family and has been used as an herbal medicine for centuries for stomach aches and as a mild sedative to help with insomnia.
Here are the top 4 reasons why I would recommend drinking chamomile tea:
1. It helps with digestion and stomach issues.
Chamomile tea has been used for thousands of years as an herbal tea to help with stomach pains and other digestive problems. One of the benefits of drinking this tea is that it helps with stomach aches, cramps, and digestion problems such as nausea and gas.
2. It strengthens your immune system.
Drinking this tea can also help strengthen your immune system and fight against the common cold, therefore decreasing your chances of getting sick.
3. It aids in relaxation and sleeping problems.
A lot of people swear by the idea that chamomile is a mild sedative and it helps people to unwind and relax before bed. I find this to be true, although it could be a placebo effect. I’m not sure if it helps me fall asleep faster but I do feel more relaxed with it. If you’re having any problems with insomnia, maybe this tea would be a good idea to try as a natural treatment.
4. Dental health
Chamomile tea can help out with your oral health too! If you drink it, you might be able to find relief from canker sores, toothaches, and any other pain in your mouth.
So those are the top 4 reasons why you should drink chamomile tea! Give it a try if you have any of these issues and see if this works for you! Thanks so much for reading and I’ll see you lovelies tomorrow!
