Hello lovelies, I’ve got another makeup review for you all for Makeup Monday! Today I wanted to review the Rimmel ScandalEyes Kohl Pencil in Brown.

I bought this eyeliner because I heard that they’re really good at staying on your waterline, delivers good pigment, and is waterproof. I also thought having a brown eyeliner would be nice for those days where I want a more natural look but still want to define my eyes.

This eyeliner is very smooth and creamy and glides on easily. It gives off a good amount of pigment and it has a tiny bit of shimmer but it’s not noticeable.

The downsides to this eyeliner is that it’s difficult to sharpen. It’s also really hard to sharpen to a point because of how soft and creamy it is (edit: I realized that this was because of the sharpener I was using. I would recommend using a good quality sharpener when using this eyeliner!).

As for application on the waterline, it smudges after just a few hours. I like lining my entire eye sometimes for a more intense look, but I feel like this wouldn’t be a good choice for these occasions since it easily smudges.

Overall, I don’t think this eyeliner is suited for the waterline because of its creaminess. It does work well on the lid for natural definition so I prefer to use it for that. I don’t know if it’s waterproof, but since it’s such a creamy liner, I feel like it would smear a bit in water.

In the end, I don’t think this is the best eyeliner on the market. I can see it being good for defining the lid or creating a smoky liner/eyeshadow look, but that’s about it. After I purchased this, I found other reviews saying that the nude liner is better so I might give it a try and see if that works any better. I’ll still use this eyeliner, but I wouldn’t recommend it or give it a rave review.

I hope this post was helpful and that you enjoyed reading it; I’ll see you lovelies tomorrow!
