SKIN DEEP | WHY ALOE VERA SHOULD BE IN YOUR SKINCARE ROUTINE

Hello lovelies! Today on Skin Deep, I wanted to talk about the newest addition to my skincare routine that I’ve fallen in love with: aloe vera gel.

Aloe vera comes from a plant that is usually used to treat sunburns. However, in recent years, it’s become more well known as a skincare product and I’ve become a believer that this is a necessary step in your routine, especially if you deal with a more oily complexion.

There are many vitamins and antioxidants in aloe vera that can improve your skin. The main two benefits of aloe vera is moisturizing and helping with acne.

AS A MOISTURIZER

One of the most important things to look for in a moisturizer when you have oily skin is something that sinks into the skin quickly and doesn’t leave you feeling greasy afterwards. With aloe vera gel, it does just that. Not only is it moisturizing, it’s super light and feels refreshing on the skin.

AS AN ACNE TREATMENT

Now I’m not going to sit here and say it cures acne, but I do feel like my acne scars have faded faster since I started using this aloe vera gel. I also like to believe that it helps with the healing process of my blemishes.

AS A BODY MOISTURIZER

I also use this product to moisturize other parts of my body as well and while it wouldn’t replace a moisturizer for dry skin, it’s good for the summer when you don’t want that greasy feeling of lotion on your body.

So what’s my conclusion? I love using this before bed and after cleansing my face in the morning before makeup. It has an enjoyable aloe vera fragrance and leaves my skin looking super fresh and healthy.

So that’s why you should incorporate aloe vera gel into your skincare routine, especially if you have oily skin. I currently use the Nature Republic aloe vera gel, which comes in a tub and lasts for ages; plus, it’s super affordable!

Thank you so much for reading and I hope this was useful. I’ll see you lovelies tomorrow!
