MAKEUP MONDAY | WEARABLE MAKEUP TRENDS FOR AUTUMN

Hello lovelies, welcome back to Makeup Monday! Today I wanted to talk to you about this season’s fall makeup trends!

The runway always brings out the makeup trends that will be popular each season, and today, I wanted to touch on the ones that are not only stunning on stage, but are also wearable in real life.

1. GOTHIC LIPS

When the leaves start falling and the temperature starts dropping, we also start to reach for our darker lipsticks to match the autumnal tone. Here are some runway looks that I think could be replicated in real life.

If you’re the type that likes to experiment with lip colors, this could definitely be something to try out this fall.

For even more of a vampy look, layer a black lipliner underneath before applying a dark burgundy color.

2. PEACHY KEEN

I’ve written about peachy makeup before, and I’m glad it’s becoming a trend this season.

I think peach is super easy to pull off, even though it may look daunting at first.

Personally, I would wear it alone on the lids or add a brown shadow to create more depth and warmth.

3. BLACK IS THE NEW BLACK

This fall, we can go back to smudging our black eyeliners to create that grungy look, or clean it up a bit to create a sophisticated but super smoky eye makeup.

The main focus is aΒ super dark black eyeliner that can create wings, clean lines, or be smudged everywhere.

4. JUST A LITTLE GLOW

It’s time to put down those highlighters and either pick more natural looking ones or use less because one of the trends right now is naturally glowing skin.

Add a little bit of product to places such as the inner corners of your eyes, the bridge of your nose, above your cheekbones, and your cupid’s bow for fresh skin that looks like you’re not even wearing makeup.

Remember, less is more. Plus, I think a natural highlight looks way better in real life.

5. THE CLASSIC RED

Red lips are back for the fall, but let’s be real, when has this trend ever left?

Take a bright red lippie like this one and pair it with either minimal eye makeup or a crisp winged liner for a timeless look.

A darker red also works because it gives off more of an autumnal feeling.

6. A LITTLE GLITTER NEVER HURT NOBODY

Glitter is trending this fall, but it can be a tricky trend to wear. I personally might not wear a look like this unless I have to, but here are a couple beautiful, but unwearable looks.

If this is up your alley, then go for it! Otherwise, if you don’t think you can deal with glitter, just wear shimmery shadows instead. They’re a great alternative to the glitter trend, and much more wearable.

If none of these trends appeal to you, then do whatever you want! Makeup is totally experimental and just because something is a trend doesn’t mean you need to wear it; I just hope this post was helpful and inspirational.

So that’s my Makeup Monday post for this week! Which trends would you like to try this fall? Let me know in the comments below! I hope you lovelies enjoyed this post and I’ll see you later!

  1. I feel the same! I don’t like to leave my comfort zone of natural looks, but I want to become more comfortable with bolder looks! Thank you so much for reading! πŸ™‚
