Hello lovelies, on today’s Makeup Monday, I have part 2 of my giant makeup haul, and it’s all about the new lip products I bought over the last couple of months!
Let’s get started!
So here we’ll be talking Colourpop, Rimmel, NYX, and Kiko Milano lip products.
These are all the mini versions of the Ultra Matte Lips in Beeper, Creeper, Tulle, Clueless, and More Better. I thought this was a great deal because how often do you finish a regular-sized lip product anyways?
Plus, you get 5 different shades to try out for a fraction of the price, and they’re travel-friendly since they’re so small!
Here are some swatches of the colors along with their names; I really like Beeper and More Better at the moment. Clueless is a bit too pink for me, but I think it could work if I pair it with a wine or berry lipliner underneath to make it into a more rosy-toned color.
Next up, we have this lipstick from Rimmel. It’s from their The Only One lipstick range and this is the shade One of a Kind.
It’s a dark red shade and I bought this to replace the dark red lipstick that I had been using for a few years already. It’s super smooth and moisturizing, and it dries down to a velvet finish!
I’ve talked about how much I love this lipstick range before, so I already know that I’m going to enjoy this product when I want a bolder lip.
This Kiko Milano Smart Lipstick is so pretty! It’s a pink peachy shade and it’s perfect for the spring and summer seasons! It’s also very moisturizing, so it won’t last that long on the lips, but reapplication is super easy since it’s a natural shade.
I think peachy colors work well for my skin tone, so I can’t wait to use this more regularly!
Another lip product that I got was actually gifted to me! This is the E.L.F. matte lip color in the shade Cranberry.
It’s supposed to be a mattifying lip product that still provides moisture. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m excited to see how it performs!
These are the swatches for the Rimmel and E.L.F lipsticks. They both look super similar, but I think Cranberry is just a little bit lighter and a little less pigmented.
Now let’s head into NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream territory. I repurchased Cannes because I’m actually running out of the first one I bought. I really love this shade because it’s super close to my natural lips, but still adds some color.
I purchased Prague simply because it caught my eye and I think plum/violet shades also suit my skin tone. This is a mix of pink and purple and I really like it. Even though plum is more for the fall and winter, I feel like this could be worn during the spring and early summer as well or for a night look anytime during the year.
This last NYX lippie was also gifted to me. This is in the shade Dubai and it’s a brown shade. I can’t seem to figure out if I like it with my skin tone or not, but it’s worth experimenting with.
This is what they look like swatched, and as you can see, they’re all very different colors. I really enjoy NYX’s soft matte lip creams because they give off a matte finish without being too drying.
Now we have lipliners! I bought some lipliners from Kiko Milano because I’ve heard that they were good, so I wanted to try them. I’ve only swatched these two, but they look really promising.
They’re also very affordable, so if they’re good, I would definitely consider repurchasing them or looking into other shades.
One lipliner is a nude pink peach shade, while the other is on the plum side. I’ll probably wear the plum one if I have any occasions to go out, but I feel like the other shade will get lots of wear soon.
We’re finally at the end! These last 3 lipliners are from NYX. I picked up a wine color, another dark plum shade, and a bright pink lipliner as well because I just felt like it, haha.
These are quite pigmented and last pretty well on the lips. I’ve used the wine and burgundy shades so far, but I think the pink is also going to be great to start using in the warmer months!
So that’s the end of my collective lip product haul! As you can see, this was a lot of products, so I had to break up my makeup haul into two parts (find part 1 here!).
Thanks so much for reading, and I’ll see you lovelies tomorrow!
