DISHIN’ IT OUT | BREAKFAST, LUNCH, AND DINNER

Hello there lovelies! Today I feel like dishin’ it out with some of the delicious meals I’ve had lately!

Last month, I had a run-in with Japanese food. Not pictured is the Japanese barbecue (or J-bbq, as I like to call it) that I ate for lunch, which tasted amazing, but it was really salty. Fast forward to dinner, and I had some yummy udon soup with veggies, but again, it was too salty for me.

I don’t know if that’s a thing in Japanese cuisine, but I don’t think I’ll be overindulging in Japanese food again anytime soon. Don’t get me wrong, they were both delicious meals on their own and I love me some salt, but I’m pretty I had enough sodium to last a month, haha.

Who doesn’t love Taco Tuesday? I went to Holé Molé with a friend and I got some fish and carnitas tacos while she got a fish burrito!

Holé Molé is one of my favorite taco places to go to; their fish tacos never disappoint!

Wait, I thought I said I was going to avoid Japanese food from now on? Well, I can make an exception when it comes to poke or sushi, haha.

So this is from the poke restaurant that my school recently opened, and I like their poke. To be honest, it could be better, but I feel like they have a lot of options. You can choose to have fish, scallops, or even hot items if raw food isn’t your thing. And it’s much healthier than anything else on campus, besides the restaurant I used to work at in the dining plaza.

I had this for lunch and the smaller size is more than enough to fill me up! I believe I ordered ahi tuna and salmon here, but it also came with brown rice, ginger, seaweed, fried onions, and edamame.

This is from my most recent outing! I had a late brunch with my ate (Tagalog for “big sister”) and we caught up over breakfast food! I ordered their “Green Eggs and Ham,” which was made of eggs, ham, avocado, pesto, spinach, and broccoli, and then I asked for wheat toast on the side. My ate ordered their chorizo breakfast with a biscuit.

We also ended up having about 4.5 mimosas each, so we definitely made the most of their happy hour, haha.

I never really think about it, but whenever I go out to eat these days, I tend to choose things that are on the healthier side. I’m currently obsessed with salads and vegetables in general, although I know I could probably never give up meat, haha. I really enjoyed the “green eggs and ham” because I love spinach and broccoli and I thought the pesto was a nice twist to the dish.

So that’s what I’ve been eating lately! I actually had ice cream twice this past week, but I took ugly photos, so they didn’t make it into this post. But I definitely plan on finding some more ice cream places and there are so many other restaurants that I want to try too! If you have any recommendations for places to eat in the OC/LA area, let a girl know! ☺ Thanks so much for reading and I’ll see you lovelies tomorrow!
