DISHIN’ IT OUT | AN AFTERNOON DESSERT

Happy Tuesday lovelies! Today on the blog I’m going to be continuing the Dishin’ It Out series by talking about a dessert place I visited recently, so keep reading if you want to see what it is!

About a month ago, I visited a Korean dessert place called Sul & Beans. They serve a dish called 빙수 (bingsoo), which is made of shaved ice and may be topped off with fruits, condensed milk, red beans, etc. It’s also known by the name 팥빙수 (patbingsoo), which is when the 2 main ingredients are shaved ice and red beans.

It’s a very filling dessert and the flavors are really good. Plus, they’re aesthetically pleasing, which makes them Instagram worthy, of course.

I chose the matcha bingsoo and my cousin picked the strawberry-flavored one! We also got the black sesame injeolmi toast to try as well. Injeolmi toast is a type of rice cake with other ingredients and toppings.

My only regret about my choice is that there were too many red beans. I’m not a big fan of beans in general, but I thought I could handle the amount in the photo. However, much to my dismay, when I dug deeper into my dessert, there was another pile of beans. I still managed to finish it all though!

The bread was a really interesting flavor. To me, it tasted almost cheesy and sweet, but I don’t think there’s any cheese in it. It took some getting used to, but I ended up liking the injeolmi toast as well!

If I ever get to go again, I’m definitely picking the strawberry or mango flavor!

All in all, this was a great dessert place to go to! The cafe was really pretty and it was a delicious dessert! I highly recommend Sul & Beans so you can try out their Korean desserts!
