Happy 4th of July! Here’s a haul for ya’ll!
These Nivea lip butters were gifted to me as part of a graduation present and I can’t wait to try them out. I usually use Nivea chapsticks, but this packaging is really pretty and I’m sure I’ll end up liking them!
I was also gifted a Sephora mirror. This is a great size and it’ll be perfect for traveling!
I also got my very first MAC lipstick! I’ve never bought anything from MAC yet, but I’m excited to have this lipstick to start my collection.
It’s in the shade Fashion Tide. It’s a super bright pink, which isn’t usually a shade I would buy for myself, but I think it’ll be great for the summer!
The last part of my gift was a small makeup pouch from Sephora! It’s pretty small so you can’t put too much in it, but I guess it would be good for a day when you’re not wearing too much makeup or need to pack minimal makeup.
I bought this quad quite a while ago, but I haven’t used it yet because even though green is flattering on brown eyes, I haven’t gotten around to trying it out.
It has really pretty colors though; there’s a shimmery cream shade, a gold/green color, a brighter green shade, and a dark green color.
They swatched nicely so I am excited to try them, especially the lighter shades, so I might do a makeup look for a future post!
I did a mini review of the L’Oreal Setting Spray in my June Monthly Product Review and I mentioned that I bought the full size to test it even further. And here it is! I will say that this larger spray has a better spray nozzle and I do notice a difference when I don’t use it, but we’ll see how I feel about it in the future.
It’s more affordable than high-end sprays so I’ll continue using it until I find something better!
I originally bought this Buxom lip gloss as a gift for a friend but ended buying a different shade for her. I then got too lazy to return it, so I kept it.
I’m not the type of person that ever wears lip glosses, but I really like this one! It works well over lipsticks and it’s not sticky.
I’ve been a little obsessed about wearing this lately, especially because of the menthol. This lip polish is supposed to plump your lips and I think it does a little bit.
I noticed that when I used it, my lips felt tingly for about an hour. It also has a strong vanilla scent, so if you don’t like minty and vanilla-smelling things, maybe this isn’t a product for you, but I’ve been liking it so far!
Now we can move onto skincare! I was given this mini sample of Clinique’s acne solutions clinical clearing gel and I decided to try it as a spot treatment. Salicyclic acid is usually not my thing, and this wasn’t an exception either.
I’ve tried it twice, and I don’t think it works on me so far. I’ll still use it up in the case that it ends up working on my spots one day, but I’m glad it’s a small sample.
Sheet masks have been growing in popularity, and for good reason! I’m a personal fan of aloe sheet masks, but I want to try out more of them!
I don’t really see a difference when I use different brands of sheet masks, so I’m just happy to use any kind since they’re saturated with essence to deeply moisturize the skin!
Last up is this face wash I’ve been using from First Aid Beauty! I’ve been using this much more often than my usual Burt’s Bees cleanser and I do have to say I like it. I’m thinking of reviewing this on my blog, so be on the lookout for that!
And this concludes my beauty and skincare haul. I hope you enjoyed it and I’ll see you lovelies soon!
