Hello lovelies, it’s that time of the week again! Keep reading to see this week’s outfit of the day!
Today’s outfit, to me at least, gives off a edgy vibe. I think if you wear this outfit with the right kind of attitude and confidence, it just pulls it all together.
Bracelet – Choies
Shorts – Target
Anyways, this outfit title goes out to the people who think they can play games with other people’s hearts and get away with it. I’ve been through those games and I’ve also witnessed people getting played and at this point, I think it’s a bit annoying.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for a little chasing and playing hard-to-get. But when it turns into full-blown games with relationships that end as fast as they start because it was never meant to be anything real, then I think there’s a problem.
Necklace – Choies
Someone recently decided to “play games” with me, but because I had a feeling it wasn’t going to go anywhere, I didn’t get any serious feelings involved in it. Like the title says, “two can play that game,” and I think I came out as a winner this time.
Honestly, I wonder why people spend so much of their time and energy if they don’t plan on making any type of commitment?
Sure, in my situation, I may have gotten excited and over-analyzed sometimes, but I always came back to the conclusion that it would always be a game to the other person.
Top – Uniqlo
And sure enough, a few months went by, and the game ended. I’m assuming the other person got bored, and decided to find someone else to play his games with.
I’ve been hurt by things like this before, but this time, since there were no serious feelings involved from both parties, I would say I came out pretty indifferent.
So in my case, it was a game well-played, albeit pointless. But what about everyone else that continues playing these games?
I wish we didn’t live in a world where we ignore each other to show we’re paying attention. Where you have to play hard-to-get for as long as possible so you don’t become the “loser” for giving in. Where showing affection for someone shows you’re a “simp.” Who made up these relationship rules? You either like each other or you don’t; you date each other or you don’t, right?
Earrings – Forever 21
I don’t speak as someone with lots of relationship experience, but I’ve been through enough and witnessed enough to know that these games aren’t as fun as they seem. They’re time-consuming, exhausting, and in the end, someone’s bound to get hurt.
Boots – Payless
With all of that said, I now know I can take on these games if I have to play them, but I’ll also be avoiding them. I’ll save my time and energy for someone who’s worth it, and in the meantime, I’ll be wearing outfits like these that make me feel good about myself and owning it. 🙂
Lips – Rimmel lipliner in Epic & Buxom gloss in Clair
And that ends my mini-rant and outfit post for today! I hope it was enjoyable! Relationship stuff can be a tricky subject, especially when it comes to trying not to cross the line of being too personal online. I just thought that I should start sharing my thoughts in my outfit of the day posts instead of only showing photos. 🙂
Anyways, thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you’ll stick around for more; I’m always on social media so you can find me there. I’ll see you lovelies next week!
