Hi lovelies! Today’s Wishlist Wednesday won’t be fashion or beauty-related, but about books! So keep reading to see what’s on my reading list. ☺
I’ve been a bookworm ever since I was little kid. I powered through 5 of the Harry Potter books when I was only 9 years old (the sixth and seventh books weren’t out yet!) and I’ve been a book lover for as long as I can remember.
I started to read less as I got older because I was always super busy in high school and college, but now that I’ve graduated, I’ve discovered I finally have time to read books again, so I’ve compiled a list of books that I really want to add to my book collection!
I feel like this is a “hyped” book; meaning, I feel like I see it everywhere in people’s Instagram photos and flatlays. But I totally understand why everyone seems to love this book. After looking at some of her work, I really like the way she writes and I would love to own her book now.
She also has another book coming out soon, so I hope I can get my hands on that too in the future!
Murakami is also an author that gets a lot of “hype” on the Internet, but I’ve heard that his writing is amazing. I’ve never read any of his works (shame on me, haha), but I can’t wait to start.
I don’t know which one I want to read first, but I’m sure they’re all good!
I first tried reading this book when I was about 12 years old in the school library, but I thought it was boring and I didn’t understand the story.
Fast forward almost 10 years later, and I still think about rereading this book. I picked it up again at a Barnes and Noble several months ago and found myself enjoying it as I leafed through the pages. I still haven’t gotten it, but it’s definitely on my list now to either borrow or buy in the future!
I read this series when I was in middle school/high school and I remember loving it. I have Sabriel, but I really want to borrow/buy the other 2 books to read.
For a bit of background on the stories, they are books about dark magic and they follow the adventures of a young necromancer named Sabriel as she goes on a journey to find her father who is past the seventh Gate of Death (there are about 9 Gates of Death?) and along the way, she has fight creatures who try to escape Death, along with other obstacles.
(Fun fact: when I was younger, I wished that they would make this into a movie and that I could be cast as Sabriel, haha.)
This is another book that I already read when I was younger. I don’t think I fully grasped the content of the book in the past, so I think it would be fun to read it again.
I haven’t seen the movie for this either; I’ve heard it’s not good, but I think I’ll try watching it once I’ve reread the book.
So that’s what made it onto my Wishlist for books! I hope you enjoyed this post; if you have any book recommendations, leave them in the comments section and I’ll go check them out! Thanks so much for reading and I’ll see you lovelies on Friday!
