Hi lovelies! October is about to come to an end, so here’s my monthly review on some products I’ve been trying out lately!
PONDS MOISTURIZING COLD CREAM CLEANSER
I hauled this a while back, and I’ve been testing it since then. This is the first cream-based makeup remover I’ve tried. In the jar, it’s a thick white cream; when you rub it into your skin, it becomes an oil and it takes off all of your makeup.
Since I haven’t tried out any other cream makeup removers, I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I do enjoy how easy it is to remove all of my makeup.
The only downsides I have about this product is that it stings my eyes and it’s heavily fragranced. I don’t mind fragranced items, but I prefer them to be unscented. If I use the cream on my eyes first and let it sit there while I rub it into the rest of my skin, it starts to sting and I have to wipe it off immediately. Because of this, I’ve gone back to using micellar water for my eye makeup.
I’ll still continue to use this since it doesn’t break me out, but I probably won’t be repurchasing since I would prefer to have a makeup remover that can take everything off in one step.
JORDANA EASY LINER IN TAWNY
This has been a standout lipliner for me this month. I bought this quite a while ago, but then my collection of lipliners multiplied and I sort of forgot about it.
I’ve really been enjoying it because I realized that since it’s such a close match to my natural lips, I can use it to slightly over-line my upper lip for a fuller effect. And since it’s a my-lips-but-better shade, I can wear this under any lipstick too!
COVERGIRL CLUMP CRUSHER MASCARA
I finally gave in and tried this mascara due to the rave reviews it’s been getting ever since it came out. I normally don’t like to jump on hyped-up products so I usually end up waiting a few months, or in this case, a couple years.
This mascara is supposed to be clump-free and give lots of volume. I’m still testing it out, but the reason it falls flat for me is because my lashes are literally flat when I use this. Unfortunately, even though it’s really great at separating and gives some length and volume, I can’t get this to keep a curl.
I don’t know if the formula is too wet or if my eyelash curler just isn’t as good as it used to be, but I’m a little disappointed in this mascara. I really wanted to like it, but I don’t think it’s for me. I will keep testing it though, so if there’s any improvements, I’ll let y’all know!
INNISFREE INTENSIVE HYDRATING SERUM WITH GREEN TEA SEED
I placed an order last month to Innisfree (see the haul here!) to purchase the full-size of this serum to really test it out, and I’ve been loving it!
It’s super hydrating and leaves my skin feeling glowy and healthy. I’m not sure if it’s improved the quality of my skin, but I do think my skin is better for it. Even though I have oily skin, I believe in using hydrating products so that my skin doesn’t feel dehydrated and overproduce oils.
One pump is enough for my entire face, but I’ll do an extra pump if I feel like treating myself. I also love the scent and packaging. Even though I’ve been using this every day for a month, I think this will last me for a while!
So those are some of the products I’ve been testing out lately and what I think of them! I hope this was helpful; what have you been liking and disliking lately? Thanks for reading and I’ll see you lovelies soon!
P.S: Sorry I’ve been away from the blog for a while; my eyes have been bothering me whenever I’m on my computer so I got them checked and found out that I need reading glasses! I just picked up my glasses last weekend, so now I’m back. I have lots of new ideas, and I can’t wait to share them with you! ☺
