Hi lovelies! Today I’ve got a review about the Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day setting spray, so let’s get started!
WHAT IT CLAIMS TO DO
The Slay All Day setting spray claims to “lock in your makeup look and look flawless for hours with our cooling, oil control mist that increases the look and longevity of your makeup.”

Oily, sensitive, and acne prone.
FRAGRANCE AND APPLICATION
After hearing Nikkia Joy rave about this product multiple times on YouTube, I decided it was time to try it out for myself!
The packaging is nice and the product comes in several scents, such as coconut, green tea, jasmine, lavender, and many others. I picked up the green tea scent because I thought I would enjoy it the most, even though I would’ve preferred something fragrance-free. The scent is a little strong, but it’s bearable and fades away after a few minutes.
The mist is fine and doesn’t squirt out random amounts of product on the face. If done correctly, it’s easy to get an even layer all over the skin.
HOW IT FEELS ON THE SKIN
As for how it feels, your skin will feel a little tight in the beginning, presumably from the alcohol. I personally don’t know if alcohol is bad for your skin (I also believe most setting sprays have alcohol in them), but this is probably the key to keeping you from getting oily.
After it dries and you’ve been wearing your makeup for a little bit, the setting spray is unnoticeable so I don’t think it’s a big deal. I can also see that it takes away the powderiness and melts the makeup into the skin so everything looks more natural.
I’ve noticed a big difference in my makeup ever since I started wearing this setting spray. Compared to other sprays that I’ve tried, the Slay All Day spray makes my makeup last much longer.
When I combine this with a long-wearing foundation and powder, my makeup lasts about 8 hours before getting shiny/dewy in the t-zone area. Once I retouch with some blotting sheets, I’m good to go for another few hours, which makes for at least 12 hours of wear!
This setting spray is the best one that I’ve found so far. At $22, it is a little pricey, but it’s still $10 cheaper than a high-end setting spray such as Urban Decay.
If you prefer alcohol-free and fragrance-free beauty items, this might not be for you, but if you don’t mind it, then definitely give the Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day setting spray a try! It’s definitely improved the way my makeup looks, and if you’re an oily girl like me, this might be a game-changer for you too!
I hope this review was helpful! Let me know if you’ve ever tried out this setting spray and what your thoughts were on it! Thanks so much for reading and I’ll see you lovelies soon!
