Happy Tuesday lovelies! Today I have another review, so here are my thoughts on the Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask!

This is a 2-in-1 skincare product that can be used as a cleanser and as a mask. The bentonite absorbs oil while kaolin clay allows it to be used as a mask. It has benzoyl peroxide to help treat acne, as well as kill bacteria and control oily skin.

Active: Benzoyl peroxide 3.5%

Inactive: Water,Glycerin,Kaolin,Bentonite,Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate,Titanium Dioxide,Trideceth-9,PEG-5 Ethylhexanoate,Menthol,Sodium Citrate,Xanthan Gum,Disodium EDTA,Citric Acid,Fragrance

Oily, acne-prone, and sensitive.

At first, I was using this as a daytime cleanser with slow results. At the time, my skin was starting to improve, but I was still getting painful breakouts.

After a little while, I began using it at night and that’s when my skin started to take a turn for the better. I’m not sure why, but every time I use this at night, my acne immediately looks better the next morning. These results have continued to impress me over the last few years!

Even though I’m a long-time user of this product, my skin still hasn’t gotten used to the benzoyl peroxide. I can only use this once a day; otherwise my skin starts feeling dry and I have to use more hydrating products.

I’m not consistent with face masks, but whenever I do use this as a mask, I feel like the benzoyl peroxide is really penetrating my skin and absorbing the oils.

After I rinse it off, my skin feels clean, but again, a little dry. I never skip my moisturizing routine so that’s usually not a problem for me, but if you have dry skin, this might be a little too drying.

I can’t believe I haven’t done a review on this sooner! After using this face wash for over 5 years, I think I’m pretty qualified to review this cleanser and I have to say, it’s my holy grail face wash! Plus, it’s from the drugstore and it’s super affordable!

This Neutrogena cleanser never fails to help my acne out, and now after struggling with skin issues for the last 8 years, my skin is the best it’s been in a long time. I do have a lot of other products to thank for my clearer skin, but I truly think this cleanser is essential to fighting my acne!

I do have to say that for me, I don’t get along with salicyclic acid, which is why I turned to benzoyl peroxide. If salicyclic acid works for you, then stick to products with that ingredient in it. But if benzoyl peroxide usually improves your skin, then give this a try!

So that wraps up my review! I really do love this cleanser if you couldn’t tell, and I hope this helps you out if you’re struggling with acne. What products have helped you out with your skin? I’d love to know in the comments! Thanks so much for reading and I’ll see you lovelies soon!
