Happy Friday! Today I’ll be sharing some makeup empties and what I thought of them!

Even though I haven’t been wearing much makeup lately, I’ve collected quite a bit of makeup empties that I’ll be sharing and reviewing today, so let’s get into it.

This L’oreal Infallible Pro Matte foundation has been my go-to for many years and still is! I’m always open to trying out new foundations, but I always come back to this one. It’s great for my oily skin because it’s matte and is one of the few foundations that lasts almost all day on me. I do still have to blot and touch up after about 6-7 hours, but I’ve come to accept that foundations aren’t meant to look perfect all day unless you’re a celebrity with a makeup artist following you around 24/7.

But with that being said, if you do have any foundation recommendations that somehow manage to look great on oily skin all day long, let me know what they are in the comments; I’d love to try them out!

This is before I decided to splurge on the full size (see that haul here!), but the Hourglass Mineral Veil primer might just be my holy grail primer. I have a super oily skin type, but with this primer, my skin feels velvety soft after applying and I’ve noticed my makeup holding up well even after a full day at an amusement park or when I’m at work (at least before the pandemic).

I’m currently out of this primer at the moment and don’t really want to pull the trigger on repurchasing it (it’s so expensive 😭) so I’m trying out other products these days. However, I’m sure I’ll buy this again in the future.

The Maybelline Age Rewind concealer has been with me for years and I always repurchase it, even when I’m trying out other concealers. I’ve never been picky with concealers but I do like this one a lot because of the sponge applicator and how well it blends. It’s quick and easy to use and it just always works. The only thing is that it’s not great at spot concealing because of the applicator.

As you can see by how many of these I’ve gone through, I think it’s safe to say that the NYX Micro Brow pencil is my favorite eyebrow. I’ve never given into the Anastasia hype and honestly, I can’t imagine paying so much for an eyebrow product. Maybe there’s some magic potion inside the Anastasia brow products that make people fall in love with them, but for now I’m more in love with how much money stays in my wallet. 😂

I like how thin the pencil is; it easily fills in my brows and the spoolie is great too. I’ve never had any problems with this brow pencil and it usually stays on all day so I definitely recommend it!

Honestly, this has been sitting in my empties pile for a while now so I don’t remember if I liked it or not, but since I haven’t repurchased it, I’m assuming that it didn’t work that well on my eyes. I did like that it was a twist-up pencil, but the problem I have with most eyeliners is that they smudge onto my lower eye area, so I believe that’s what ended up happening.

I’ve tried a few setting sprays but the Gerard Cosmetics Slay All Day setting spray is the one I like the most these days (see my more detailed review here!). Not only does it come in great scents, this combined with my Hourglass primer and L’oreal foundation is the best formula I’ve found so far that keeps my makeup intact throughout the day. I always like to pick up a couple in the green tea and rose scents!

I used the Maybelline Colossal Cat Eyes mascara a while ago and really liked it. The curved wand makes it easy to follow the curl of your lashes and it didn’t smudge or flake on me. This mascara in particular is from the Colossal collection and I’ve liked almost all the mascaras from that line so I’d definitely recommend those if you have short, thin lashes like mine.

Like I said earlier, I’m not picky when it comes to concealer. The Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define concealer is supposed to be similar to the Tarte Shape Tape because of its doe foot applicator and packaging. I’ve never tried Shape Tape but this one gives light to medium coverage and doesn’t crease under my eyes. It also covers blemishes fairly well.

I used to use the squeeze tube version, but after trying this brush on lash glue, I’ll never go back. It’s easy to apply onto my falsies and this particular formula has really good lasting power; I almost never worry about my lashes coming off. I also like having the option between black and clear glue depending on my makeup looks and how I feel that day. This is definitely my favorite lash glue to date!

And that’s it for today’s post! If you haven’t seen my first empties post, you can find it here! Thanks so much for reading and I’ll see you lovelies soon ♥
