Hello lovelies! Korean skincare is super popular these days, so I decided to try out a toner from a popular Korean brand. Keep reading to see the review!
Cosrx is a Korean skincare brand with a large following. Many of their products have an abundance of positive reviews, with many saying it’s changed their skin for the better. I chose the AHA/BHA toner based on all the good reviews it had on Ulta. I also talked about this briefly in my February product review post!
WHAT IT CLAIMS TO DO
It claims to exfoliate dull skin and prevent whiteheads and blackheads from forming. It also hydrates skin with essential vitamins while controlling oil and sebum.
INGREDIENTS
Water, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Water, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Water, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Lactate, Glycolic Acid, Betaine Salicylate, Allantoin, Panthenol, Ethyl Hexanediol.
MY SKIN TYPE
Oily, acne-prone, and sensitive.
MY EXPERIENCE
I like to spray this directly onto my skin after my nighttime cleanse. The spray nozzle isn’t too harsh so you can get a nice, even mist on your face.
It doesn’t have a strong scent or sting your skin. After spraying, you can pat it in and it absorbs quickly. When I first started using this, I thought I noticed a difference in my skin. It seemed to have a glow to it, but as I continued using it, I didn’t see the same results.
THE VERDICT
I think my skin got used to this product over time. In addition, the reviews made it seem like a miracle product. Some people said that it smoothed out their skin, shrunk their pores, cleared their breakouts, and brightened their skin. I don’t doubt that this could be the case with some people, but I wasn’t fully satisfied with this product.
Since the reviews were so good, I was expecting a lot. I was really hoping to see my acne scars fade, my pores to shrink, and to have less blackheads, but I didn’t see much of a change in those areas. I do think my skin looked healthier, but for the price, I wish there had been more of a difference.
I do still like Cosrx and I’m looking into trying their blackhead power liquid because I feel like I have a lot of blackheads at the moment so we’ll see how that goes!
So that’s my review! I know it’s not a solid yes or no; I just think it could’ve delivered better results and it might for other people! It didn’t break me out and I believe it works on all skin tones, so I would still say try it out if you want to. Although it’s a little pricey, it won’t break the bank compared to other brands!
Thanks so much for reading and I hope it was helpful! Let me know if you’ve tried this toner or what skincare products you’ve been trying in the comments and I’ll see you lovelies soon!
This is one of COSRX product I haven’t tried. Thank you for the review 🙂 I’ve used their BHA power liquid before, it helped with my acne scars and brighten my skin. You can give it a try but since you have sensitive skin, I recommend to use it only once a week 🙂
Ooh okay thanks for the tip! 🙂 And thank you for reading!
Hi Annie. Not sure if you have heard about Cosrx launching a new power liquid for pores. It contains way less BHA so it’s more suitable for sensitive skin. I got the info from here, have a read 🙂
