Hello lovelies, today I have a haul featuring everything I’ve gotten and tried out from Innisfree in the last few months!
If you know me, then you might know how much I like Innisfree. I’ve done a couple Innisfree hauls that you can find here and here. Ever since I started investing into skincare, my skin has improved a lot. I still deal with some hormonal acne and hyper-pigmentation, but it looks much better than it used to.
I placed two orders at the end of last year and the beginning of 2019 and I’ve been trying to test everything out over the last few months. For reference, I have oily, sensitive, and acne-prone skin.
CLEAR IT UP! TROUBLE CARE WITH BIJA SEED OIL
First up is this Clear it up! Trouble Care kit with bija seed oil which piqued my interest because I’m always open to acne-fighting products that use less harsh ingredients.
Apparently the bija fruit takes about 20 years to sprout and it’s used for medicinal benefits.
The kit comes with a foaming face wash, a serum, an emulsion, and a balm.
I haven’t tested out the facial foaming wash, but I’m excited to give it a try because it’s supposed to treat acne and it does have a small percentage of salicylic acid along with bija seed oil. Plus, since it’s a foaming face wash, it’s supposed to go deeper into your pores than a typical facial cleanser.
Most of my Innisfree orders include getting the Intensive Hydrating Serum with green tea seed, so I was super happy to see a mini version included in the kit. This is perfect for travel although it is difficult to get the right amount since there’s no pump.
This is one of the products that I’ve been unexpectedly enjoying. Admittedly, I know very little about emulsions, but I’ve found that this works great in the morning before I apply my makeup. It has 0.6% salicyclic acid so it’s supposed to help treat acne, hence why it’s in this kit.
Since I’ve been testing it out, I think it does keep most of my acne at bay throughout the day and treats existing blemishes while sitting under my makeup.
The last product in this kit is also the one I’m the most clueless about. This is the cica balm with bija seed oil. I really don’t know how to use this product, so I’ve mostly tried it on places where my skin peels after blemishes or extractions for extra hydration. I’m still not too sure if this works or not, but I’ll be sure to update in a future monthly product review or beauty review post.
MOST WANTED KIT
This kit came for free as one of their promotions at the time and it includes some of their most popular products.
Inside is another mini green tea serum, the Youth-Enriched Gel Cream with orchid, and the Pore-Clearing Clay Mask. I really like this mini serum because it comes with a pump. I usually only need one pump, so this helps me get the right amount.
I gave the gel cream to my mom because it’s supposed to be an anti-aging product. I’m not sure if it works because most reviews talk about how nice it smells, but my mom says she’s been enjoying it so far!
And lastly, I was super excited to try the clay mask. So far, I’ve used it twice and I haven’t seen any amazing results, but I think masks in general are important to keep your skin clean (in my case, I wear a full face of makeup almost every day for about 8-12 hours at a time so I should be doing masks quite often). I’m not great at using masks, but I’m hoping to start a new habit of using them once or twice a week to balance out my skin from wearing so much makeup.
GREEN TEA KIT
This is one of my favorite items to order (hack: the green tea serum is $25 but so is this kit! And you still get a full-sized serum so try getting this instead if you want to try out other products from the green tea line).
The serum was the first product I ever tried from Innisfree and it’s super hydrating. You only need one pump if you have an oily skin type and your face will look super healthy and hydrated in the morning. I recommend it for all skin types because dry skin could really benefit from it, but people with oily skin can totally use it too. I’m a believer that using more hydrating products on oily skin will reduce oil production over time.
I also enjoy using the face wash; it’s not a holy grail product but it’s a foaming cleanser so my skin does feel clean afterwards. I typically use it in the mornings on when I have no-makeup days and just need to clean my face.
And lastly, the hydrating cream is also super intense. I don’t use it often and it’s definitely for drier skin types, but I’ll sometimes apply a bit if my skin feels a little bit dehydrated. Because I don’t use it all the time, the small tub it comes in lasts forever.
MY LIP BALM COLLECTION HOLIDAY EDITION SET
I think you might be able to tell how long ago I bought these products now, haha. But seriously, this was part of my order at the end of 2018 because I couldn’t stop thinking about it and really wanted to try it. Although my makeup always ends up looking full-coverage when I’m finished (I just love playing with makeup too much, haha), I’ve been wanting to try out more natural products.
In this case, I was looking to try out tinted lip balms so I could have a natural flush of color instead of using matte lip products. And so far, I’ve been loving them! They last a long time on the lips and when they do wear off, they leave a light stain which is perfect for that natural makeup look.
My current favorites are Dried Rose Tea and Wedding Peach Tea. Dried Rose Tea isn’t my favorite scent, but it gives a natural red tint to the lips. On the other hand, I love the Wedding Peach Tea scent and it’s the most natural color out of all of them with a light peach tint.
INNISFREE MATTE MINERAL SETTING POWDER/NO SEBUM POWDER
This is a very popular powder; many people have claimed that it keeps their makeup matte all day and that it’s the best powder they’ve ever tried. I have yet to try this, but I can’t wait to test it!
MY REAL SQUEEZE MASK
The last items I purchased were their sheet masks. I really like Innisfree sheet masks because they’re super soft and fit my face well. I’ve tried other brands but sometimes they’re too big or don’t sit on my face well.
Regardless, almost every sheet mask I’ve tried has made my skin feel nourished and is a great treat for my skin every once in a while. I always aim to use one once a week, but sometimes I don’t get around to it. Additionally, since I have oily skin, I don’t feel the need to use them all the time.
This time, I picked up the rice, manuka honey, aloe vera, and green tea masks. I can’t wait to try out the rice and manuka honey ones!
SAMPLES
And now onto the free stuff! I love how Innisfree is so generous with their samples and free items. I also try to stay on the lookout for promotions that seem like good deals so I can get some free items every once in a while.
Since I believe one of my orders went over a certain amount, I was allowed to choose 2 free samples. I decided to choose the Moisture-Volumizing Serum with lave seawater and the Refining Gommage Mask with green barley.
I thought the mask would be interesting because I hear it combines chemical and physical exfoliation. Additionally, I chose the serum because the first time around, I gave it to my mom to try and this time I wanted to see if it works. I still love my green tea serum, but I’m curious to see if this might be a good addition to my skincare routine as well.
I also got samples of the Youth-Enriched Gel Cream with orchid and the Pore-Clearing Clay Mask in the smaller sample size.
ANTIOXIDANT MASK WITH FERMENTED GREEN TEA
Here’s another free product I got, along with a cute design of Santa Claus. I’m not too sure how this mask works, but I’m excited to try it as one of the masks I have on rotation.
If anyone has tried this, let me know in the comments! Is this supposed to help clean the skin or hydrate the skin? Is it similar to sleeping masks?
HYDRATING SLEEPING MASK WITH GREEN TEA
I also got the Innisfree Hydrating Sleeping Mask with green tea as a free item with my orders. I haven’t quite figured out the whole purpose of sleeping masks either (there’s still quite a bit for me to learn about Korean skincare!), but I assume it’s similar to sheet masks, except you can just apply this to your skin and go to sleep.
I recently finished a large sample of this that I received in a previous order and I’m excited to continue using this. So far, I feel like this is super moisturizing and it’s good for those days when I want to hydrate my skin a bit more but don’t get around to using a sheet mask.
HYDRATING MIST WITH GREEN TEA
And lastly, I received the Innisfree Hydrating Mist with green tea for free as well. Like I mentioned earlier, I’ve been looking into products that give my makeup a more natural look, so I was also searching for a hydrating mist. Luckily, I ended up getting this, so I’ve tested it out a couple times.
The mist is continuous and very fine; it also feels cool and smells nice when your mist it onto the skin. The couple times I have used it, I may have sprayed too much, so my face looked a bit too dewy, but I’m looking forward to keep trying it (in moderation, haha).
And that’s everything I got in this massive Innisfree haul! I haven’t tested every single product out yet, but those are my thoughts on most of them so far. Let me know what products you’ve tried in the comments, and thank you so much for reading! I’ll see you lovelies soon! ❤
Jealous of your collection! ? I love the green tea serum so much, it really helps when i random get a pimple that won’t budge.
Wow that’s great! I usually use it for hydration, but it’s great to know that it helps with acne too!
