Hello lovelies, today’s post will be a product review for a skincare product I’ve been using for a while now: the Innisfree Pore Clearing Clay Mask!
WHAT IT CLAIMS TO DO
“In just minutes, this non-drying clay mask helps draw out sebum and impurities that even toners and cleansers can’t properly remove.
Formulated with 3,000 mg Jeju Volcanic Cluster, or micro-particles smaller than pores to naturally absorb dirt and oil while gently exfoliating skin. The result? A brighter, shine-free complexion is revealed, with pores that visibly appear smaller.” (Source: Innisfree website)

MY SKIN TYPE
Oily, acne-prone, and somewhat sensitive.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
I first tried this out through a sample they gave out. In the past, they were much more generous with how much they gave, but I think the samples have gotten smaller now. But, because of the original sample, I was able to initially test out this mask a few times to see if my skin liked it.
There was no scent and it was easy to apply; you don’t need much to cover your entire face. It dries within 10-15 minutes (although I always end up leaving it on for longer) and it’s easy to wash off.
After I finished the sample, I ended up purchasing the full-size jar. It’s 3.38 Fl Oz./100mL of product and is a thick yet smooth consistency. It spreads easily across the skin and dries to a light gray color. Since it’s in a jar, I have a mini spatula that I use to scoop out the product so it stays clean.
RESULTS
I use this about 1-3 times a week depending on much makeup I’ve been wearing or if I feel like my skin’s clogged and/or has a lot of active breakouts. If I use it more than twice a week, I’ll mainly focus on my nose and T-zone instead of applying it all over my face.
I really like using this clay mask! After washing it off, I feel like my skin looks brighter and cleaner and if I happen to do any extractions afterwards (mainly on my nose), it’s easier to remove whatever’s in my pores.
Do I feel like this sucks up all the dirt and grime in my skin? No, not completely (maybe like 70%?). I have found that it’s easy to do extractions afterwards, but I wouldn’t say this is a miracle product that will pull everything out of your skin, especially in problem areas like the nose. But it does keep your skin clean if you use it regularly in combination with double cleansing and a good skincare routine.
Out of all the clay masks I’ve used in the past, this does the best job at drawing out dirt and oils. I would definitely recommend adding this to your skincare routine since it’s affordable and great to use after cleansing your skin and before your serums and moisturizers. You get quite a bit of product so make sure you start using it as soon as you open it so it doesn’t dry up! I will keep trying out other clay masks and I really want to try out their 2x version, but for now, this is still a great clay mask that I like to use every week when I want to give my skin an extra deep clean.
And that wraps up today’s product review! Thank you so much for reading and I hope you found this helpful. I’ll see you lovelies soon! ?
