Hello lovelies, for today’s Makeup Monday post, I have part one of my collective makeup haul, so let’s get into it!
About half of this makeup was gifted to me and I personally bought the other half. I got all of this over the last few months, so it wasn’t a crazy shopping spree or anything.
I got these BH Cosmetics brushes and this eyeshadow/cheek palette from my cousin, and I’m excited to use both of them!
I was meaning to buy some new brushes but now I have a whole set to try out! There’s 14 brushes in the set; to be honest, I don’t even know what some of them are for, but I can’t wait to try them and see how they work.
The brushes are really soft and I love the rose gold detail!
This is the Illuminate eyeshadow and cheek palette from Ashley Tisdale.
The colors are really nice; there are neutrals and some experimental shadows but I think you can create lots of different looks from it.
The blush and bronzer are a bit shimmery so it’s not the best for textured skin like mine, but I’ll still use them. If I don’t end up liking them, I’m sure I can use them as eyeshadows instead.
I purchased the NYX CC cream a while ago and I got it in Lavender for light/medium skin. It’s supposed to remove yellow tones from your skin and give you a healthy glow. Personally, I see a very small difference and I think it makes my skin oilier a little faster so I’m not sure if I like it, but I’ll keep testing it.
It comes out as a very light lavender shade, but it blends into your skin like a lotion.
I got the L’Oreal Infallible foundation a while ago as well and I’ve been loving it. It’s the most mattifying and long-lasting foundation I own and it’s a drugstore product so it’s super affordable!
I also purchased the Maybelline Fit Me concealer since it’s such a cult favorite and I wanted to finally see what it was all about. I’m not very picky with concealers as long as it has good coverage and it’s a good color match for my skin. This concealer does what I need it to do and it’s very inexpensive, so I’m satisfied with it.
This is the Urban Decay eyeshadow in Midnight Cowboy. It’s a very sparkly eyeshadow which I’m not sure if I totally like, but I would definitely consider using it for special occasions.
I also picked up a free sample of the Becca highlighter from Ulta when they had a promotion for it in the shade Opal.
I use this on special occasions since it’s a high end brand and I don’t want to use it up right away. Plus, it’s very pigmented so you don’t need a lot of product either.
One of my friends gifted me an Elizabeth Arden eyeshadow quad and I’m so excited to use this as well! Why?
BECAUSE IT’S BEAUTIFUL.
I personally like the the orangey shade in the bottom left corner since I think it would look great on warmer skin tones.
So that’s all for part 1 of my makeup haul! This might not seem like a lot to some people, but this is a lot for me, haha. Part 2 will be about all the new lip products I bought, so there’s more coming! I hope you enjoyed this post and I’ll see you lovelies tomorrow!
